Kids to get their Que on at Central Florida's BBQ Blowout in Oviedo

Kid-Que will bring a kids BBQ competition to Central Florida's BBQ Blowout presented by Sonny's BBQ on Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28 at Oviedo Mall. Central Florida's BBQ Blowout is an award winning festival that benefits a local, non-profit, Helpful Hands Inc. and is produced by the Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce. (OWSRCC)

Up to 10 teams with a chef apprentice, professional BBQ pitmaster and a corporate sponsor will bring a BBQ competition like none other. "Since Helpful Hands is about enhancing the quality of life of children and families in the community, we feel this event not only fits our mission, but also our ability to share our mission with the community," stated Josh Strzalko, Helpful Hands board member.

Angela Iversen, the BBQ Blowout's main BBQ Guru said, "It's about more than just BBQ; we have Championship Pitmasters who want to be involved with kids and teach the skill of barbequing," The Kid-Que is scheduled for Friday, May 27 at 6:45 p.m. at Central Florida's BBQ Blowout and the organizer is currently looking for ten corporate sponsors to team up with local kids.
