Steakburger anyone? Frozen custard? Freddy's finally comes to Orlando

Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opened its first Orlando restaurant Friday at 8107 Vineland Ave. The company has plans to build more than 20 restaurants in the Orlando metro market. Freddy's offers a variety of menu items including lean-beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs, and shoestring fries, as well as a large assortment of dessert treats prepared with your choice of freshly-churned, chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.

“We genuinely appreciate the kind comments we’ve received regarding our anticipated debut in Orlando,” said franchise operator Brian Pyle. “Freddy’s is a family-friendly restaurant that caters to guests of all ages and parties of all sizes. We hope to be a convenient option for area shoppers at Orlando’s Premium Outlets looking to grab a delicious and quick meal, as well as for friends and family looking for that perfect place to celebrate a birthday, sports team victory, or to just enjoy each other’s company.”

The all-new, free-standing Freddy’s will feature abundant indoor seating, patio dining and drive-thru service.

“For those who may not be familiar with the Freddy’s concept, a steakburger has similar characteristics to a hamburger, but is traditionally pressed thin to create a caramelized effect around the outside of the burger and a juicy, flavorful center,” said COO Scott Redler. “And because we press our patties thin, we always recommend that our guests order the Original Double – that’s two of our lean beef patties, and two slices of melted cheese topped with mustard, onion, and pickle. Served with our crispy shoestring fries and a drink, it a satisfying meal that’s always cooked-to-order.”
