Part 3: More Eating Orlando Favorites

I’m pleased to hear the “Eating Orlando Favorites” series of blog posts have been popular with readers, if a little controversial. In the series, I’m listing my favorite places and favorite items to eat in the Orlando area. A couple of you have suggested I should never write about chain restaurants. I disagree. This blog is about my efforts to eat and drink at every single restaurant in the Orlando area. Orlando is the center of the chain restaurant universe; of course I’ll be eating at chains on my journey. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy and cherish the many fine locally owned and operated establishments we have here in Orlando. You’ll notice I have favorites at chain and local restaurants. But let me say this: When I have the choice, I prefer to support the local community as much as possible. So if you know of a great local spot and/or a particular item I should check out, please let me know about it. One of your favorites just might become one of my favorites.

Absolute authentic Japanese food. More known for their cooked dishes and ramen, but they have great sushi as well.

  3. I ate at Hamburger Marys once and loved it. Went back with my son a second time and OD'ed on the garlic sauce( Buffy the Vampire) they have. I burped garlic for 3 days, now I cant go back. Looking back the burger was just OK, not great.
